Take a glance at our space.

Joe Rockhead’s brought indoor climbing to Canada in 1990, and our walls and offerings have been evolving ever since. Keep scrolling to see some of our walls, our weekly route setting schedule, and other amenities.

BOULDERS

Bouldering was just an eccentric warmup activity back when we opening in 1990, but now it’s the most popular discipline of indoor climbing. Our boulder angles range from 80° cave to -5° slab, and cover every style. Thuggy or delicate, static or dynamic, old-school or skate-style, we do it all. Start bouldering today with a Day Pass and Rental Shoes.

Top Ropes & Auto Belays

Great for beginners and experts alike, top-roping is secure and fun, yet retains much of the thrill of climbing at heights. Our routes are built across a full range of difficulties, from 5.5 to 5.13, arranged in distinctive colours to separate each climb. Our 3 auto belays are a great for warming up, or for satisfying the occasional solo session. Get up these walls by signing up for a Top Rope 101 class.

Lead

Joe Rockhead’s is proud to host the best lead terrain in the city, featuring long and steep lines reminiscent of Kentucky caves and European comp walls. Our vert walls reach a peak of 32’, and the caves overhang by 26’, enabling climbs up to 50’ long. Lead tests must be booked in advance. Sign up for a Lead 201 class, or book your Lead Test now.
