A fun and stress-free way to try indoor rock climbing. Try climbing in a variety of styles and difficulty levels while our staff takes care of your safety. Challenge yourself to go to the top of our tallest walls! Perfect for birthday parties, schools, and groups on a tight schedule.

This class teaches participants the basics of knot-tying and rope management (aka belaying). Take turns climbing and keeping others safe while they climb. Perfect for high schools, universities, and groups interested in skills-based development.

TEAM BUILDING

The Team Building Program is designed to foster collaboration, communication, and problem-solving.

Get a group belay lesson, then finish your session with unique team challenges that can only be experienced at Joe Rockhead’s!

  • Participants engage in team-based games where they must problem-solve and compete, encouraging teamwork and utilizing their climbing skills.

    Examples of these challenges include:

    Lights Out: Climbers guide a blindfolded teammate up the wall through verbal instructions.

    Lug The Bear: A race to carry a life-sized bear to the top.

    Lava: Requires utilizing a rope swing to traverse an obstacle while racing against time.

    The program is flexible, offering additional games tailored to the group's size, ensuring inclusivity and engagement for all, regardless of their climbing experience or inclination. Description text goes here

 

IMPORTANT NOTES


ATTENDANCE LIMITS

Bookings of 15+ participants are not available after 4pm on weekdays, and before 3pm on weekends.

CREDIT CARD REQUIRED

When the booking is confirmed, we require a credit card on file for a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total booking. One week before your booking we will call you again to gather payment for the remainder of the balance.

ADVANCE BOOKING RECOMMENDED

Bookings should be made at least two weeks in advance. Bookings made with less than two weeks notice will be subject to staff availability.

NO FOOD, CAKE, OR PRESENTS

Kids groups are welcome, but we do not have a space to provide for birthday party festivities such as food, cake, and presents. Liberty Village is full of restaurants that can host your group for a meal or other festivities.


EVENT FAQ


WHAT ABOUT WAIVERS?

Each participant must have a valid, completed waiver on file. Visitors younger than 18 years old must have their waiver completed and signed by a parent or court-appointed legal guardian. Waivers can be complete online at the link in the top right corner of our website, titled “Waiver”.

 

WHAT DO WE WEAR? WHAT SHOES DO WE NEED? WHAT DO WE BRING?

Wear unrestrictive clothing. Athletic, exercise or yoga wear is recommended. Bring clean, dry running shoes.
You may also wish you bring combination locks for our change room lockers, and water bottles.

 

WHERE CAN WE PARK? IS PARKING FREE?

Liberty Village has plenty of parking, but all of it must be paid for. We recommend the Green P lot at Lamport Stadium, or the metered street parking around us on Fraser Avenue. 

WILL THE FACILITY BE CLOSED TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC?

In most cases, no. Due to the large size of our facility, it is not necessary. However, this can be done by request at an additional cost. Please call for details.
